Andrea Zimmerman

Andrea Zimmerman is a highly experienced Doctor of Optometry and Low Vision Specialist, currently serving at Lighthouse Guild since December 1994, where responsibilities include low vision care, evaluation of visually impaired patients, and educating optometry residents. In addition, Andrea contributed as an Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor at SUNY College of Optometry from September 2005 to September 2016, focusing on low vision education. Prior experience includes practice at Battery Park Vision Associates, private practice, and Helen Keller Services for the Blind. Andrea holds a Doctor of Optometry degree from SUNY College of Optometry, earned in 1989, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from New York University, completed in 1985.
