Julie Shefchik

Julie Shefchik has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Julie began their career as an intern at the ACLU Foundation of Alaska in 2007 before moving on to work as a legal assistant at Aschenbrenner Law Offices. Julie gained experience in legal research, drafting briefs, and client management during their time there. In 2010, they worked as an extern at Hennepin County Mental Health and Probate Court, where they observed court proceedings and gained valuable writing experience.

In 2010, Julie worked as a research assistant at Biersdorf & Associates, where they conducted research in eminent domain law and prepared information requests. Julie then worked as a temp at Robert Half Legal in 2011 before taking on the role of New Market Manager at Estately, Inc. In this position, they managed market operations, broker searches, and customer support while ensuring compliance and conducting document reviews.

Julie joined Lighthouse in 2013 and held multiple roles within the company. As a Data Processing Technician II, they handled electronic data processing and quality assurance checks. Julie then progressed to become a Solutions Analyst, where they implemented best practices for data handling and workflow analysis. In 2018, they transitioned to the role of Consultant, providing technical expertise in data analysis, system analysis, and process improvement. Julie specialized in using SQL, Ruby, and eDiscovery tools to deliver efficient solutions. Julie's role grew further in 2019 when they became the Manager for Global Service Delivery at Lighthouse, handling diverse operational tasks and automating processes.

Currently, Julie holds the position of Associate Director, Global Service Delivery at Lighthouse. Julie leads a UK-based team overseeing the operational aspects of US-based ediscovery projects, managing communication workflows and addressing client requests. Their responsibilities extend to project and product management. Throughout their career, Julie has exhibited a strong ability to adapt to varied roles and effectively communicate with stakeholders.

Julie Shefchik received a J.D. degree in Law from Mitchell Hamline School of Law from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a B.A. degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Alaska Anchorage, completing their studies from 2004 to 2008. In addition, Julie has obtained various certifications, including the Certified E-Discovery Specialist (CEDS) from the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS) in February 2015. Julie has also acquired multiple certifications in Nuix software, although the specific dates are not provided.
