Julie Shefchik has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Julie began their career as an intern at the ACLU Foundation of Alaska in 2007 before moving on to work as a legal assistant at Aschenbrenner Law Offices. Julie gained experience in legal research, drafting briefs, and client management during their time there. In 2010, they worked as an extern at Hennepin County Mental Health and Probate Court, where they observed court proceedings and gained valuable writing experience.
In 2010, Julie worked as a research assistant at Biersdorf & Associates, where they conducted research in eminent domain law and prepared information requests. Julie Shefchik received a J.D. degree in Law from Mitchell Hamline School of Law from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a B.A. degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Alaska Anchorage, completing their studies from 2004 to 2008. In addition, Julie has obtained various certifications, including the Certified E-Discovery Specialist (CEDS) from the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS) in February 2015.
