Clifford Chao

Clifford Chao has a strong background in ASIC engineering with extensive experience at Lightmatter, Google, and Texas Instruments. At Lightmatter, they currently hold the position of Lead ASIC Engineer. Prior to this, they worked at Google for eight years, starting as a Senior Hardware Engineer and later transitioning into the role of Staff Technical Lead. During their time at Google, Clifford played a key role in leading various technical aspects, including cross-chip coordination, network-on-chip and memory system architecture, and processor verification. Clifford also contributed to patent publications and research papers. Before joining Google, Clifford worked at Texas Instruments, where they served as a Design Lead and Digital Designer. Clifford successfully managed a team and led the design of a digital front-end ASIC for cellular infrastructure. Overall, Clifford Chao has a proven track record of technical leadership and expertise in ASIC design and verification.

Clifford Chao received a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, where they studied from 1997 to 2001.
