Jamal began his career as an IT Administrator at CA Technologies before co-founding a technology startup in NY focusing on the independent restaurant industry. There he created the initial infrastructure and software stack which now powers thousands of websites across North America. He began contributing to Lightning Network open source projects in 2018, attended the Chaincode Residency in the summer of 2019, then went on to create the Lightning Polar developer tool. Today, his focus is on improving the user experience for individuals using and developing on Bitcoin and Lightning technologies.
