Cristina Canavesi

Cristina Canavesi is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in optics and engineering. As Co-Founder and President of LighTopTech Corp. since May 2013, Cristina has played a pivotal role in the company's development. In addition, Cristina serves as Secretary for WiSTEE Connect and has been associated with the Center for Freeform Optics at the University of Rochester since 2007, transitioning from Postdoctoral Associate to Center Coordinator and Research Associate. Cristina founded and presided over the Women in Engineering group, fostering networking and mentorship for women in the field. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Optics from the University of Rochester and an MBA from the Simon Business School, enhancing technical and managerial expertise in the industry. Prior positions include roles at the Optical Society of America and SPIE Student Chapter, in addition to research work at Corecom, focusing on optical technologies.
