Daniel Gerrald has worked in the IT field since 2013. Daniel began their career as a Network Administrator for the City of Goose Creek, where they managed 200-300 users and end devices, and 30 servers both physical and virtual. Daniel also maintained emergency services such as 911 dispatch, fire department and police department on 99.999% uptime basis. Daniel then migrated domain controllers from Windows 2008 to 2016 servers and upgraded the VMware environment from 5.5 to 6. Daniel also worked as a System Analyst for the same company. In 2019, they joined Avast as a Senior Technical Support Specialist, where they managed and implemented support processes and best practices for a new software product offering. Daniel also participated in the design of call/chat/e-mail monitoring formats and quality standards, owned, developed and implemented QA process in customer care, and ensured that the support team provided the highest quality of support. Daniel also developed and implemented training programs for both internal agents as well as for external customers. Currently, they work as an IT Technician for Lightserve Corp.
Daniel Gerrald has a diverse educational background. In 2020, they completed a Coding Bootcamp at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in Full-stack Development. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate's degree from Florence-Darlington Technical College in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications from institutions such as freeCodeCamp, Udemy, LinkedIn, HackerRank, and VMTraining.
