Nicholas Hayden Herron has a wealth of work experience, beginning with an Electronics Technician role at the Institute of Geophysics and Planetary Physics (UCLA) in 2005. In 2006, they interned at ExxonMobil as a Mechanical Engineering Summer Intern, and in 2004 they interned at General Motors as a Mechanical Engineering Summer Intern. From 2004 to 2011, they held various Mechanical Design Engineer roles at General Motors, Tesla Motors, and Alta Motors. From 2018 to 2021, they held various roles at Proterra Inc, including Sr Manager - Battery Engineering, Sr Staff Engineer - Battery Engineering, and Staff Mechanical Engineer. Currently, they are the Head of Power Systems Engineering at Lightship.
Nicholas Hayden Herron received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2008, and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution in 2011.
