Bart Kramer has a diverse work experience, starting in 2015 with an internship at ATMOS UAV B.V. In 2015, they also interned at Vencer Sportscars, where they designed the main loom for their first production model. In 2017, Bart joined the Formula Cruisers FSAE Team as a mechatronics engineer, focusing on the drivetrain and control of the vehicle. In 2018, they worked at GEA Group as a project engineer for machine vision, and also completed a research thesis at GEA Niro P.T. Under Lightyear since 2019, Bart is contributing to the development of the first Solar-Electric consumer car, the Lightyear One, with a significant focus on its mechatronics aspects.
Bart Kramer pursued their education at various institutions. From 2013 to 2018, they attended De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Mechatronics / Robotics / Machine Vision. During their time there, Bart focused on developing skills in the field of mechatronics, robotics, and machine vision. In 2016 to 2017, they also took a minor program at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, specializing in the Future of Automotive Technology as part of their Bachelor's degree. Prior to their tertiary studies, Bart Kramer completed their high school education at Kalsbeek College Woerden from 2009 to 2013, earning a High School Diploma.
