Andy Bryant

Andy Bryant has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Andy is currently working as the Director of Engineering at APRIL since March 2020. Prior to this, Andy worked at Simple Machines Pty Ltd, where they held the positions of Associate Director from May 2019 to March 2020 and Principal Consultant from July 2016 to May 2019.

Before joining Simple Machines, Andy served as a Senior Tech Lead at Westpac from January 2013 to July 2016. In this role, they led a team of developers in designing and implementing a reactive microservice-based platform for FX price distribution, execution, and post-trade functionality.

Prior to their time at Westpac, Andy worked as a Director at UBS Investment Bank from September 2010 to January 2013. Andy led a team of developers in building core services and APIs for UBS Neo, a modular client-facing SDP.

Andy's earlier work experience includes roles at Lab49 as a Senior Consultant from June 2008 to August 2010, at UBS Investment Bank as a Senior Software Engineer from June 2007 to June 2008, at uiActive as a Senior Software Engineer from April 2005 to March 2007, at Milestone Group Pty Ltd as a Senior Java Contractor from November 2004 to March 2005, at Wagerworks Inc as a Senior Java Developer from November 2001 to November 2004, and at the University of Canterbury as a Software Engineer from February 2001 to August 2001.

Throughout their career, Andy has gained expertise in various technologies and has demonstrated strong leadership skills in managing teams and delivering successful projects.

Andy Bryant graduated from the University of Canterbury in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Computer Science.
