Arturo Gonzalez Burgos

Arturo Gonzalez Burgos has extensive experience in purchasing and procurement. Arturo currently holds the position of Head of Purchasing Mexico Operations at Lincoln Electric. Prior to that, they served as the Regional Purchasing Manager for Direct Material at Nexteer Automotive, where they managed a team of 10 buyers and oversaw purchasing activities for multiple plants in Mexico and the USA. Before that, they worked as the Sr Manager Purchasing at Grupo la Vasconia and as the Purchasing Manager at Federal-Mogul Holdings Corporation. Arturo also has experience in category management at Holcim México. In addition, Arturo has previous experience at General Motors, where they held various roles including Global Purchasing Supervisor, Program Purchasing Analyst, and Senior Buyer. Arturo began their career at Nissan Mexicana, where they served as a Senior Buyer, and also worked as a Maintenance Engineer at TenarisTamsa. Throughout their career, Arturo has demonstrated skills in cost reduction, negotiations, team management, and implementing strategies to optimize purchasing processes.

Arturo Gonzalez Burgos completed a Diplomatura in Planeación Estratégica from Universidad Anáhuac Mexico Norte in 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Diplomatura in Liderazgo empresarial from Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2019. From 2012 to 2014, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Business Administration, Management, and Operations, also at Tecnológico de Monterrey. Their earlier education includes a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, which they completed from 1997 to 2001.
