An industry leader in the arena of research, prospect, and information management expertise, Christine Lockmon has been serving leading nonprofits for nearly thirty years.
Christine’s career has spanned the nonprofit sector. Before joining the Lindauer team, Christine served as Prospect Development Director for Sun Health Foundation, providing research and information systems management expertise to frontline major and planned giving officers who supported two hospitals, three Life Plan Communities, and a community health and wellness program. She relaunched a Grateful Patient program at Sun Health and assumed responsibility for annual giving and donor relations. Christine previously worked for the national offices of Best Friends Animal Society and Make-A-Wish America, for Kintera P!N (Prospect Information Network) and for the University of Illinois Foundation. Her roles gained her additional proven expertise in management, analytics and reporting, events, stewardship, and budget maintenance and guidance.
An esteemed member of APRA, the premier organization for professionals in prospect development, research and analytics, Christine served on the Association’s national board for six years with responsibility for Connections magazine and marketing. Her service over the years included work with curriculum and marketing committees; co-creation of Body of Knowledge standards; various task forces and think tanks; and co-chairing the Professional Development Center at the APRA International Conference.
She is a frequent presenter at conferences including APRA (both nationally and regionally), AFP, PBS Development Conference and AACSB Business School Development. She also taught in the Philanthropy Fundraising Course at University of Illinois. In her previous involvement with the Association for Healthcare Professionals (AHP), she served on the peer-review committee for the Healthcare Philanthropy Journal, joining with other industry experts to analyze articles advancing development program ideas and methodologies, evaluations of the current healthcare environment, projections of future trends and more. Christine holds an EdM in Educational Organization and Leadership from University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign, and a BA in Journalism from University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
