Roxanne Skelly has over 16 years of experience in the software engineering industry. Roxanne began their career in 2005 as a Senior Software Engineer at F5 Networks. In 2007, they moved to Skytap as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed systems to manage virtual networks for collections of virtual machines. In 2008, they joined Linden Lab as Manager of Software Engineering, managing a small team of engineers and developing server-side functionality for the virtual world Second Life. In 2012, they founded Roxiware, and in 2013, they founded Scribaroo, a website service for authors, artists, and other creative folk. In 2014, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer/Server Engineer at Cryptic Studios on an Unreal Engine 4-based multiplayer game. In 2015, they joined ArenaNet LLC as a Server Programmer, where they worked on the Guild Wars 2 MMO Product. In 2018, they joined High Fidelity, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer/Managing Engineer, focusing on social VR and spatial audio. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Linden Lab as a Senior Software Engineer.
Roxanne Skelly attended Snohomish HS before receiving their BS ECE in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University between 1987 and 1991.
