Ru Yin has worked in the tech industry since 2000. Her first role was as Metaverse Senior Engineering Manager at Linden Lab, where they helped develop a platform that enables people to create, share, and evolve in virtual experiences. Ru then held the role of Senior Engineering Manager and Engineering Manager, during which they helped launch Tilia, Inc. as a business and maintained communication with internal stakeholders. Ru Yin then became Team Lead, Extraction, where they worked with their team to develop golang REST apis that solve the needs of Second Life and Sansar. In 2010, they became an Angel Investor, actively participating in the strategic decision making and strategy design of the investee company, providing consulting services, and helping to recruit management personnel for portfolio companies.
Ru Yin completed a Master of Computer Applications - MCA at Boston University between 2002 and 2004, majoring in Mathematics and Computational Finance. Prior to that, Ru Yin earned a Bachelor's degree from Xiamen University between 1995 and 1999, majoring in Computer Engineering and Science.
