Jon Nilsen

Jon Nilsen began their work experience in 2006 as an English Instructor at Geos Language Corporation. During their time there, they developed and implemented English lesson curriculum, designed study plans for students, and collaborated with the school manager on contract renewal strategies. In 2010, Jon became an English Instructor at G. Education but the school closed in October of that year. Following the closure, Jon opened their own school called JON英会話教室(Eikaiwa Kyoshitsu), where they took on various management responsibilities such as scheduling, marketing, curriculum development, and classroom instruction. In addition to teaching learners of all ages, Jon also provided on-site language training for corporate clients as an independent contractor for NOVA Co. Ltd from 2010 until present. Since 2017, Jon has also served as an English Language and Communication Coach at Lingo Live.

Jon Nilsen completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Japanese Language and Literature from the University of Washington between 2000 and 2004. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from the University of Birmingham, where they studied from 2013 to 2017.
