Sharat Nagaraja has over 15 years of work experience in the field of data engineering and database development.
Sharat started their career in 2006 as an Undergraduate Research Scholar Intern at Florida Atlantic University, where they worked on a data science project involving the simulation of Standard Penetration Test values using Monte Carlo Simulation.
In 2010, they joined the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, teaching undergraduate courses in programming and programming languages such as Java, Visual Basic, and SQL.
Sharat then moved on to various roles at Comscore, Inc., starting as a Database/Datamart Developer in 2011. Sharat implemented a distributed data processing system and developed an advanced automation system for coordinating data pipelines. As a Senior Database Developer, they led the development of a large-scale In-Memory database installation and spearheaded the development of a Universal Data Platform. In their final role at Comscore, Inc. as Lead/Staff Database Developer, they integrated various open-source components and enterprise systems to build a cohesive data processing and storage unit.
In 2019, Sharat joined Braviant Holdings as a Data Architect, responsible for the development and architecture of the data warehouse for the organization using PostgreSQL, AWS Glue, and Apache Airflow.
From 2020 to 2023, Sharat worked at Revantage, A Blackstone Portfolio Company, where they held two roles. As a Sr. Specialist - Data Engineer, they led the design and development of a comprehensive analytical reporting tool and pioneered a modular calculation engine. In their subsequent role as a Software Engineer III, they served as a technical architect and engineering lead for critical workstreams, reorganizing processes towards efficiency and outcomes.
Currently, Sharat is employed at Link Logistics as a Senior Data Engineer, starting in 2023.

Sharat Nagaraja received a Master of Science (MS) degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, Sharat earned a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree from the National Institute of Technology in Kurukshetra, Haryana.
