Sophia Hasnain

Sophia Hasnain's work experience begins with their role as the Founder & CEO of Linked Things, an IoT solution provider for emerging markets. Sophia leads the company in delivering customized solutions in energy management, water management, air quality monitoring, and agri-monitoring. Prior to this, they worked at GSMA as the Mobile Money Market Engagement, Asia, where they provided insights on mobile money businesses beyond P2P, with a focus on Asia. Sophia also worked as a Trends and Transformations Consultant, bringing innovation and focus back to products. In addition, they have experience as a Product Manager at Deutsche Telekom, a Director Mobile Technology at Department One GmbH, and a Project Manager, Strategy (EasyPaisa) at Telenor Pakistan. Sophia began their career in 2005 as the Director of Technology at Comset, where they oversaw the setup of an online lottery across Pakistan. Sophia'searly experience also includes the role of R&D Manager at Wavetec.

Sophia Hasnain holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, which they obtained between 1997 and 1999. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Systems from the NED University of Engineering and Technology between 1992 and 1997.
