Ashvin Kannan

Ashvin Kannan is the current Vice President of Engineering at LinkedIn. Ashvin has also previously worked as the Director of Engineering for Ad Technology at A9.com, which is an Amazon.com company. Prior to that, they were the Senior Director of Research and Head of Performance Advertising Sciences at Yahoo!. Kannan started their career as a Program Manager in R&D at Nuance Communications in 1997.

Ashvin Kannan has a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Boston University and a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Boston University College of Engineering. Ashvin also has a B.E. (Hons) in Electronics and Communication from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.

Ashvin Kannan reports to Mohak Shroff, SVP & Head of Engineering. They are on a team with Ganesan Venkatasubramanian - VP, Engineering, Sabry Tozin - VP, Engineering, and Kevin Krawez - VP, Site Reliability Engineering.
