Leonardo Perugini is a Cybersecurity Researcher at LINKS Foundation since March 2022, where significant contributions include designing an extended version of the TLS 1.3 handshake protocol to support the Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) paradigm. Leonardo's academic background features a Master of Science in Cybersecurity from Politecnico di Torino, obtained in April 2023, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the same institution, completed in March 2021. Additionally, Leonardo has experience as an exchange student at the University of Arkansas and at Anthony Wayne High School. Currently, Leonardo is also a member of Toastmasters International, starting in July 2023. The Master Thesis focused on developing an SSI-aware TLS handshake in OpenSSL.
