Luisa de Risio

Luisa De Risio has extensive experience in the veterinary field. From 2007 to 2020, they worked at the Animal Health Trust, where they held various roles including Head of Neurology/Neurosurgery and Head of Neurology and Clinical Research. Luisa is also qualified from the University of Parma and completed internships and residencies at various institutions in Italy and the United States. Since 2020, Luisa has been the Clinical Research and Excellence Director at Linnaeus Associates, where they lead and supports clinical research activities and collaborations with Mars Petcare and academic institutions.

Luisa De Risio's education history includes a Doctor in Veterinary Medicine degree from Università degli Studi di Parma. Luisa also holds a PhD in Veterinary Medicine from the same institution. In 2004, they obtained a Diplomate at the European College of Veterinary Neurology, specializing in Veterinary Neurology and Neurosurgery. Luisa obtained the ILM Level 3 Certificate in Leadership and Management from the Institute of Leadership & Management in 2015, and the ILM Level 5 Certificate in Leadership and Management from the same institution in 2017. In 2020, they completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Veterinary Education from the Royal Veterinary College. Luisa has additional certifications, including Fellowship of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy, and being recognized as an RCVS specialist in veterinary neurology by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
