Michael Verrengia has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Michael began their career as a Petty Officer in the United States Coast Guard from 1969 to 1973. Following this, they worked as a Journeyman Electrician at Hughes Aircraft Company from 1977 to 2005. In 1980, they started working at the Garden Grove Police Dept. as a Law Enforcement officer until 2010. Simultaneously, they served as a Sr. Reserve Police Officer (Ret.) at the City of Garden Grove during this period. From 1994 to 2002, they were the Board President and Board Vice-President at the Westminster School Board, where they provided leadership to a district with 1,000 employees and 10,000 students. In 2009, Verrengia joined the OC Grand Jury, serving as a Member whose responsibilities included conducting investigations and publishing reports on Orange County government departments. Lastly, they became a PPO Qualified Manager at Linxx Global Solutions in 2014.
Michael Verrengia has a diverse education history. In 1965, they obtained their high school diploma in Mechanical Drafting from Pacifica HS. Then, in 1980 and 1981, they attended Goldenwest College, where they completed the P.O.S.T. Level 1 Reserve Academy program in Criminal Justice/Police Science. Lastly, in 2006, Michael Verrengia acquired a certificate in Background Investigations from the Riverside Sheriff's Department.
