Glen Power has extensive work experience in executive leadership roles in the healthcare industry. Glen is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Lions Eye Institute since June 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Executive Officer at Perth Clinic from April 2018 to June 2021. Glen also worked as the Executive Director of Reform and PathWest Transformation at North Metropolitan Health Service from September 2017 to March 2018. In addition, they have held the position of Chief Executive Officer at both Midland Public & Private Hospitals and St John of God Warrnambool Hospital, from January 2015 to July 2017 and from January 2013 to January 2015, respectively.
Glen Power has a diverse education history. Glen first attended the University of Oxford from 1992 to 1995 and completed a Rhodes Scholarship, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Metabolic Biochemistry. In 1986, they enrolled at Murdoch University and graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree, earning First Class Honours. Glen then pursued a Juris Doctor (Law) degree at the University of Melbourne, completing 12 out of 24 units from 2006 to 2007. Additionally, they studied Third Year Biochemistry at the Department of Biochemistry, UWA, at an unspecified time.
