Marco Dubbert

Marco Dubbert has a diverse work experience in various roles within the information security, privacy, and quality fields. Marco currently holds positions as the Chief Information Security Officer and Data Privacy Coordinator at LIQID. In 2022, Marco joined Athereon GRC as the Lead Auditor for Information Security & Privacy, and also worked as a Consultant for Information Security & Privacy. Prior to this, Marco held the role of Chief Quality Officer at Nestor Services GmbH. Marco had a long tenure at MIK-Center GmbH, where they served as the Chief Information Security Officer, Chief Quality Officer, and worked as a Working Student. Marco's early work experience includes working as a Working Student at Marschall-Media and as an Intern at Bundesministerium des Innern.

Marco Dubbert has a diverse education history that includes both academic degrees and certifications. Marco earned a Bachelor of Arts in Politik und Verwaltung (Political Science and Administration/Public Law) from the University of Potsdam in 2015. Marco then continued their studies at the same university and obtained a Master of Arts in Politikwissenschaften (Political Science) in 2017.

In terms of certifications, Marco completed several programs at Bitkom, a professional association for the digital economy. In 2019, they became a Certified Chief Information Security Officer. Marco also obtained the Certified Lead Auditor Information Security (ISO 27001) certification from Bitkom in 2020. Most recently, Marco is enrolled at Bitkom and is pursuing a Certified Business Continuity Manager degree, which is expected to be completed in 2022.
