Jess Staggs

Jess Staggs has extensive work experience in the field of safety and risk management. They started their career as a State Police Officer with the Kentucky State Police in 2009 and served in that role until 2017. From 2017 to 2021, Jess worked as a Safety Manager at Usher Transport, Inc. They then held various roles at Usher Transport, Inc., including Assistant Director of Safety, Director of Safety & Risk Management, and Vice President | Safety & Risk Management. In 2022, Jess joined Liquid Cargo, Inc. as the Vice President of Safety.

Jess Staggs has a Master's of Occupational Safety & Health from the Georgia Institute of Technology, obtained between 2019 and 2021. They also hold a Bachelor's of Criminology from Morehead State University, completed between 2005 and 2009. In terms of certifications, Jess has obtained a Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP) credential from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals in 2021. They are also a Certified Director of Safety (CDS) from the North American Transportation Management Institute, earned in 2020. Additionally, Jess has completed various training programs and certifications in areas such as OSHA General Industry, Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response, and compliance investigation.
