Craig Tashman began their career in 2000 as a Research Intern at IBM. In 2006, they returned to IBM as a Research Intern, where they designed and implemented a window manager extension for Windows XP. From 2007 to 2008, they were a Research Intern at Microsoft Research, where they designed and co-implemented an interactive visualization tool and led a multi-phase, qualitative and quantitative evaluation of a window/file tagging application. In 2009, they were a Research Intern at Steelcase, where they conducted qualitative and quantitative studies of document reading/visualization technology and ran design workshops. From 2005 to 2012, Craig was a Doctoral Student at Georgia Tech, where they received their Ph.D. in computer science studying human computer interaction. Finally, from 2012 to present, Craig has been the Founder and CEO of LiquidText, a revolutionary tool for reading, organizing and analyzing complex sets of documents. The unique LiquidText technology, based on Craig's doctoral thesis, is built into an iPad app which has been downloaded over a million times.
Craig Tashman attended Pace University from 2000 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics. Craig then attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 2003 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Finally, they attended the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2005 to 2012, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science.
