Cryptography Research Engineer at Lita

Daniel Dore, Ph.D., is a seasoned cryptography professional with extensive experience in research and engineering within the field. Currently serving as a Cryptography Research Engineer at Lita since April 2024, Daniel focuses on developing cryptographic solutions for a zkVM called Valida. Prior to this, Daniel contributed as a Cryptographer at Nexus, engaging in innovative cryptographic design for a new zero-knowledge virtual machine. Daniel's earlier roles include working with MobileCoin as a Cryptographic Engineer, where Daniel designed security-sensitive software components, and acting as a Research Consultant concentrating on zk-STARKs. Daniel also served as a Cryptography Research Scientist at Modulus Labs, advising on the theoretical properties of zk-STARK and SNARK systems. Daniel completed a Ph.D. in Mathematics and Computer Science at Stanford University, where the doctoral thesis presented a novel Identity-Based Encryption scheme, complemented by a BA in Mathematics from Princeton University.
