Martin Bazant currently holds the E. G. Roos (1944) Chair Professor of Chemical Engineering and Mathematics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where Martin also serves as Digital Learning Officer and Executive Officer of the Department of Chemical Engineering. Their professional experience includes roles as Chief Scientist and Co-Founder at Lithios, Chief Scientific Advisor at Saint-Gobain Research North America, and President of the International Electrokinetics Society. Additionally, Martin Bazant is the Director of both the D3BATT project and the Center for Battery Sustainability, and provides scientific advisory services to Iridia, Inc. and Verdox, along with technical advisory work for Group1. An accomplished academic, Martin Bazant holds a PhD and MS in Physics from Harvard University and MS in Applied Mathematics, along with a BS in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Arizona.
