Margo Alfonso has a diverse work experience. Margo began their career in 2012 as a Research Analyst at the University of Connecticut, where they conducted tests on children of kindergarten age to determine which literacy techniques were most efficient for children struggling to learn how to read, and analyzed the results of the tests and managed the corresponding data. In 2013, they worked as a Summer Analyst in ICG Operations at Citi, where they were a member of the Global Credit Projects Team. In this role, they worked on process reengineering and project management by partnering with product control, technology, settlements and other various Middle Office teams to coordinate technology implementation and SLA delivery for new initiatives. Margo also participated in control design through assisting in reconciliation projects to retire a product control P&L reporting requirement. From 2014 to 2017, they worked at Citi in various roles, including Corporate & Investment Banking Associate and Senior Corporate & Investment Banking Analyst. From 2017 to 2020, they worked at BuzzFeed as a Finance & Strategy Associate and Senior Finance & Strategy Analyst. Currently, they are employed at Little Spoon as a Manager and Senior Manager of Business Strategy & Analytics, a role they have held since 2020.

Margo Alfonso completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Mathematics from the University of Connecticut between 2010 and 2014, as well as a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Secondary Education and Teaching from the same university between 2010 and 2014. Margo also attended the University of the Aegean in 2012, studying Ancient/Classical Greek Language and Literature. In addition, Margo obtained certifications from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in 2014, including the Series 63 - Uniform Securities Agent and Series 79 - Investment Banking Representative.
