Benjamin Hayes

Benjamin Hayes is currently serving as a Quantum Computing Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Notre Dame, where involvement in the Jin Lab of Emergent Quantum Systems focuses on quantum computing research and learning quantum information alongside Qiskit. Concurrently, Benjamin is a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Littoral Power Systems, Inc., working on hydro turbine equipment design in Solidworks and researching AI tools to enhance productivity through automation. Prior experience includes a previous internship at Littoral Power Systems, Inc., where Benjamin managed key projects related to USACE dam proposals. Benjamin is pursuing a degree in Physics and Economics at the University of Notre Dame, with minors in Computer Science and Engineering and Italian, following earlier education at The Ohio State University and Pickerington High School Central.
