Reinald Fages-Tafanelli has extensive work experience in various roles in the automotive industry. Reinald started their career in 2003 as an Electronical and Mechanical Development Engineer at Alten Technology, where they worked on projects for Renault and Nissan. Reinald then joined PSA Peugeot Citroën, where they held roles such as Component Technical Team Leader and E/E & Functional Architect Synthesis Responsible, working on architecture studies and projects for Peugeot and Citroën vehicles. Reinald also worked at BMW Peugeot Citroën Electrification as an E/E Architect, where they were responsible for defining technical solutions and deriving component requirements for electrification projects. Most recently, they have been working at BMW Group, where they have held various positions including Powertrain System Integrator, Gazoline Engine Controls BE-Team Leader, and Project Leader for Electrified Powertrain/Batteries. In 2023, they joined LivaNova as the Director of Industrialization and Value Analysis & Value Engineering.
Reinald Fages-Tafanelli completed their Engineering Master's Degree in Electro-mechanical engineering from (ESTP) Ecole Spéciale des Travaux Publics du Bâtiment et de l’Industrie, Paris, France, during the period of 1998-2001. Reinald also participated in an Erasmus exchange program at (KTH) Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan / Royal Institute of Technology in 2000-2001, focusing on Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In 2001-2002, they obtained their Science Master's Degree in Electronics and telecommunications from (UPMC) University Paris VI, Paris, France. Additionally, Reinald has obtained various certifications, including the A3 Problem Solving for Continuous Improvement from LinkedIn in 2023, the E1 and B2 driving licenses from the BMW Group in 2016 and 2015 respectively, and the HV Electrical Certification Level 2 (Blitz 2 Zertifizierung) from BMW Group in 2013.
