Gareth Davies

Gareth Davies currently serves as the Head of Enterprise Risk Management at Live Oak Bank since February 2023. Prior to this role, Gareth held the position of Chief Operational Risk Officer at USAA Bank from February 2021 to January 2023. Gareth has extensive experience in risk management, including roles such as Executive Vice President of Risk Management at Wells Fargo and Managing Director at Citi, where responsibilities included Global Head of Risk Ops & Tech, and Operational Risk for retail banking and mortgages. Gareth's career also includes leadership positions at Citizens Bank, Barclays Bank, Freddie Mac, and GE, with significant experience in operational risk management. Gareth earned a BSc in Banking & Finance from Loughborough University between 1982 and 1985.
