Sarah Schaffer

Sarah Schaffer currently serves as a Founders Fellow Psychotherapist at Live Oak, Inc. since July 2023. Previously, Sarah completed a psychotherapy internship at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, focusing on evidence-based practices for diverse populations and specialized training in perinatal mental health. Sarah has extensive experience in education and program coordination, including roles as a SeeIt Social Emotional Learning Educator at Alternatives and a Program Coordinator with Asian Human Services, where curriculum development and trauma-informed practices were key responsibilities. Sarah's earlier roles included teaching English as a Second Language and providing freelance writing and editing services. An MSW graduate from Jane Addams College of Social Work and a BA in American History from Oberlin College, Sarah combines a strong academic background with practical experience in mental health, education, and social services.
