Jordan Mazur

Jordan Mazur has a diverse background in legal roles. Jordan began their career as a Law Clerk at Freking & Betz in 2006 and later moved on to work as a Law Clerk at Wylie, McBride, Platten & Renner. At this firm, they performed legal research and writing tasks and also worked directly with clients to resolve grievances. In 2009, they joined Weinberg, Roger & Rosenfeld as an Associate, where they represented labor unions, employee benefit funds, and individuals in state and federal litigation. Here, they gained extensive experience in bankruptcy litigation, labor arbitrations, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.

In 2014, Jordan started their own practice, Jordan D. Mazur, Esq., where they worked on employment and benefits law matters. Jordan advised clients on employment law issues, represented clients as creditors in bankruptcy litigation, and litigated collections, whistle-blower, and ERISA matters. Jordan also collaborated with employment and benefits law firms during this time.

In 2015, Jordan joined Zenefits, initially as a Legal Counsel and later as a Senior Legal Counsel & Director of Privacy. Jordan developed and directed the Privacy program for the company, partnering with engineering, product, and security teams on data security and privacy issues. Jordan also worked on compliance solutions and trained client-facing teams.

In 2018, Jordan joined Rakuten USA as an Assistant General Counsel, Privacy and later served as the Regional Privacy Officer - Americas. Jordan developed privacy-enhancing solutions for product and process issues across Rakuten brands and trained teams on privacy requirements.

In 2019, Jordan joined Lively, Inc. as the Head of Legal and later became the General Counsel. In this role, they led the legal, compliance, and privacy efforts of the company, ensuring regulatory compliance and managing risk.

Throughout their career, Jordan has demonstrated expertise in legal compliance, privacy, and data security, with a focus on the fintech and healthcare technology sectors.

Jordan Mazur obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Subsequently, they pursued a Juris Doctor degree in Law at Full Stack Squad from 2004 to 2007.
