Shobin Uralil has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Shobin is the Co-founder and COO of Lively, Inc., a benefits provider focused on exceptional customer service and user-friendly technology. Shobin has been with Lively since 2016 and has contributed to its success as the fastest growing HSA on the market.
Prior to Lively, Shobin served on the Steering Committee of the Silicon Valley Chapter of The CFO Leadership Council from 2017 to 2020. Here, they played a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the organization.
From 2013 to 2016, Shobin worked at Retroficiency, which was later acquired by Ecova. As Vice President of Operations, they oversaw various aspects of the company's operations, including finance, HR, and customer projects. Shobin also served as the Director of Strategic Initiatives, where they focused on expanding services and securing new utility program partnerships.
In 2009, Shobin founded kWhOURS, Inc., where they held the positions of Founder & CEO and Co-Founder and CFO/COO. The company provided field apps and a cloud-platform to manage building data, resulting in improved efficiency and project execution.
Earlier in their career, Shobin gained experience in finance and mergers and acquisitions. Shobin worked as a Summer Associate in Mergers & Acquisitions at Prudential Financial, analyzing potential acquisition targets. Shobin also served as a Senior Financial Analyst at Sempra Energy, identifying acquisition targets and conducting financial analysis. Before that, they worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Credit Suisse First Boston and held a finance internship at The Coca-Cola Company.

Shobin Uralil completed their BS in Business Administration with a focus on Finance and Technology Management from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business in the period between 2000 and 2004. Shobin pursued further education at MIT Sloan School of Management, obtaining an MBA with a specialization in Finance and Entrepreneurship from 2008 to 2010.
