William Downey

William Downey is an experienced engineer with a diverse background in air traffic engineering and field service engineering across various industries. Currently serving as an Air Traffic Engineer at Liverpool John Lennon Airport since November 2020, William previously held engineering roles at Hologic, Inc., and PerkinElmer UK, focusing on spectroscopy and customer service. Earlier positions include responsibilities in the installation and servicing of medical and diagnostic equipment at CareFusion and Radiometer. William has also contributed to the installation of medical linear accelerators with Varian Medical Systems. A strong foundation in electronics was established during twelve years with the Royal Air Force as an ICT Tech, specializing in RADAR and navigation aids, along with skills in network management and fiber optic installations.
