Amanda Banik has extensive work experience in the education sector, particularly in Metro Nashville Public Schools. Amanda started working at Metro Nashville Public Schools in 2009 as a 5th-grade Math, Science, and Social Studies teacher at West End IB World School. Amanda continued teaching at different grade levels and subjects within the school until 2017. In 2017, they moved to Robert Churchwell Museum Magnet Elementary School as a 4th-grade Math and Science teacher. From 2018 to 2022, they worked at Sylvan Park Paideia Design Center as a 4th-grade Self-Contained teacher.
In 2020, Amanda joined The Educators' Cooperative as a Grants and Marketing Strategist. In this role, they managed various responsibilities such as analyzing key performance indicators to measure community engagement, handling the grant application process from start to finish, managing the organization's website and marketing of events, and overseeing the migration to online platforms and the communications platform for Nashville educators.
Most recently, in 2021, they started working at LiveSchool in a Customer Success role.
Amanda Banik completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Penn State University, from the years 2005 to 2009. Amanda then pursued a Master of Education degree in Leadership and Organizational Performance from Vanderbilt University, from 2018 to 2020. Currently, from the years 2020 to 2022, they are enrolled at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, pursuing a Master of Science in Educational Administration.
