Laurel Mills

Laurel Mills is the Chief of Staff at Living Carbon. Laurel was previously a Program Manager at X, the moonshot factory, from April 2019 to November 2021. Laurel was an Associate at Emerson Collective from November 2018 to June 2019. Laurel was an Associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP from September 2017 to November 2018 and a Summer Associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP in 2016. Laurel was a Legal Intern at Herbert Smith Freehills in 2015 and an Editor-in-Chief at the Journal of Undergraduate International Studies - UW-Madison in 2012-2013. Laurel was an Undergraduate Research Fellow at University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2011-2013.

Laurel Mills attended Stanford University for their MS in the Emmett Interdisciplinary Program in Environment and Resources with a focus in Sustainable Design. Laurel then went on to Stanford Law School for their Juris Doctor. After law school, they completed a Foreign Legal Study at Bucerius Law School in International and Comparative Business Law. Laurel also has a Graduate Certificate in Chinese and American Studies from the Hopkins-Nanjing Center. Lastly, Laurel Mills completed their Bachelor of Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Political Science and German.

They are on a team with Bjorn Brooks - Forest Carbon Data Scientist, Yumin Tao - VP of Biotechnology, and Jennifer Everett - Director of Laboratory Operations. Their manager is Maddie Hall, CEO, Co-founder.
