Santiago Carrillo

Assistant Director, Business Starts and Growth at Living Cities

Santiago Carrillo has worked in a variety of roles in the public and private sectors. From 2012 to 2017, they worked as an Intern for the International Republican Institute, an Income Generation Advisor for Corporación Escuela Galán para el Desarrollo de la Democracia, and a Rural Microenterprise Assets Program National Enrollment Advisor for Prosperidad Social. From 2016 to 2017, they held the roles of Graduate Research Assistant for the Center for an Urban Future, Project Associate for the World Bank's NYU Advanced Project in International Development, and Senior Associate for Economic Opportunity and Assistant Director for Business Starts and Growth at Living Cities. In 2020, they joined Hispanics in Philanthropy as a Líderes Fellow.

Santiago Carrillo completed a Master of Urban Planning from NYU Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service between 2015 and 2017, with a focus on Public & Nonprofit Management. Santiago also obtained a Government and International Relations degree from Universidad Externado de Colombia between 2007 and 2012, with a focus on Foreign Affairs.
