Michael Craigue has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Michael started their career as a Systems Analyst at The University of Texas at Austin in 1995 and later worked as a Systems Analyst and Webmaster for the University of Texas System. In 1998, they worked as a Contract Programmer/Analyst at Decision Consultants, Inc. Michael then joined the University of Texas Investment Management Company as a Programmer Analyst in 1999. At Dell Inc., they worked as a Director, managing a global team of 12 security consultants and 4 portfolio managers. Michael also provided consulting services to various divisions of Dell. Michael also worked at HP, where they held positions as an Info Sec Officer for HP Software and for Enterprise Group-IT. At Dell EMC, they served as the Chief of Staff for Cybersecurity. Michael also worked as an interim CISO and a Senior Security Consultant in the same organization. Currently, they serve as the Senior Director of Application Security and IAM at LKQ Corporation. In addition to their corporate roles, they have also worked as an Adjunct Instructor at St. Edward's University and Huston-Tillotson University, teaching courses related to IT and cybersecurity.
Michael Craigue has a Ph.D. in Higher Ed Administration and Finance from The University of Texas at Austin, which they earned from 1995 to 2003. Prior to that, they obtained an M.A. in Government from The University of Texas at Austin from 1989 to 1995. Michael also has an M.A. in Politics/Political Philosophy from The University of Dallas, obtained from 1987 to 1989, and a B.A. in Politics/Political Philosophy from The University of Dallas, earned from 1983 to 1987.
