Jay Ellis has a diverse education history with a focus on finance and mortgage broking. In 2000, they attended TAFE NSW and earned a degree in Retail Management, specializing in Retail Management, which they completed in 2004.

In 2010, Jay attended Kaplan Australia, where they obtained a Certificate IV in Mortgage Broking with a field of study in Financial Services. Jay also obtained an Agent's Representative Certificate from the Real Estate Institute of Victoria in the same year, specializing in Real Estate.

Jay furthered their education in the finance and mortgage broking field by attending the AAMC Training Group in 2012 and 2013, where they earned a Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management. In 2013 and 2014, they pursued additional training in SMSF Lending through the MFAA.
