Senior Software Engineer at Light & Wonder

Kevin Ren has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering and development. Kevin started their career as a Research Fellow at the Department of Chemistry, Tianjin University in 1990 and worked there until 2000. After that, they joined Black Albatross in Dunedin as a Java Programmer where they developed web applications and worked on web development projects for Toyota NZ. In 2005, they joined ANZ as an Analyst Programmer and worked there until 2011. During this time, they gained experience in programming and analysis. In 2011, they joined the New Zealand Ministry of Justice as an Application Developer, specializing in integration. Kevin worked there until 2014 and then joined the Department of Internal Affairs (NZ) as a Senior Application Developer (DevOps), where they worked until 2017. Currently, they are working at SG Digital as a Senior Software Engineer, starting from November 2017.

Kevin Ren completed their Bachelor of Science and Diploma in Graduate Studies in Information and Computer Science from the University of Otago, where they studied from 2000 to 2003. Prior to that, they pursued their Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Tianjin University, from 1995 to 1997.

In addition to their formal education, Kevin has obtained several certifications. Kevin received the Core-Spring certification from VMware in February 2016. In September 2015, they achieved the Java EE 6 Java Persistence API Developer Certified Expert 1Z0-898 certification from Oracle. Additionally, in November 2013, they obtained the Oracle SOA Suite 11g Certified Implementation Specialist 1Z0-478 certification. Kevin also holds the Java EE 6 Web Services Developer Certified Expert 1Z0-897 and Java Standard Edition 6 Programmer Certified Professional 1Z0-851 certifications from Oracle, although the exact months and years of attainment are not available.
