Savitha Thampi

Savitha Thampi started their career as a Student-at-Law at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP in 2005. Savitha then worked as an Associate Legal Counsel at Access Copyright, The Canadian Copyright Licensing Agency from 2007 to 2012, where they managed copyright infringement compliance and provided legal advice on various matters. Afterwards, Savitha joined The Globe and Mail as a Legal Counsel, responsible for reviewing and drafting commercial agreements, managing negotiation teams, and providing advice on intellectual property and litigation management. Savitha then ran their own law practice, Thampi Law, from 2017 to 2019. Currently, Savitha is employed as a Director, Legal Counsel at Loblaw Companies Limited.

Savitha Thampi completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Chemistry from McMaster University, from 1997 to 2001. Savitha then pursued their Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) in Law from York University - Osgoode Hall Law School, from 2002 to 2005.
