Mike Sample

Mike Sample has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Mike is currently working as a Principal Developer at Loblaw Digital since March 2023. Previously, they worked as a Senior Principal Engineer at Elastic from September 2021 to April 2023. Before that, they held the positions of Chief Technology Officer and Principal Architect at Cmd from April 2018 to December 2022. Prior to Cmd, they worked at Hootsuite as a Senior Principal Developer/Sr Director from August 2017 to April 2018 and as a Director of Technology from March 2015 to August 2017. Earlier in their career, they served as a Senior Systems Architect at Global Relay from 2009 to 2015, as the Director of Hosted Services at sutus from September 2005 to January 2009, as the Chief Architect at ecMarket.com from 1999 to 2005, and as a Founder at NSG Network Software Group from 1994 to 1996. Mike also has experience in R&D at OpenText from 1996 to 1999.

Mike Sample has a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from The University of British Columbia, which they obtained from 1990 to 1993. Mike also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the same institution, which they obtained from 1984 to 1989. In addition to their academic education, Mike has obtained various certifications, including ITLS Basic Trauma in 2015, Rope Rescue Team Leader in 2014, Ground Search Team Leader in 2013, Rope Rescue Team Member in 2012, and Wilderness First Aid in 2009.
