Ronit Avni has held a variety of roles within the media and human rights advocacy space. In 2018, they founded and became the CEO of Localized, a career tech platform connecting university students and recent graduates with industry experts and employers. From 2015 to 2018, they were a Consultant at KNP Communications. From 2011 to 2015, they were the Chair of the Program Committee of the Board of Directors at WITNESS, where they served as a coach, advisor and strategist to the Executive Director and senior WITNESS staff. From 2003 to 2011, they were the Founder and Executive Director of Just Vision, producing numerous films and launching a news site. Finally, from 2000 to 2003, they were a Program Associate at WITNESS, training and equipping human rights groups to document abuses using digital media.
Ronit Avni obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science from Vassar College. In 2009, they completed an Executive Education Program as an Ariane de Rothschild Fellow at Columbia Business School, with a focus on Business and Entrepreneurship. In 2011, they attended the Harvard Kennedy School for an Executive Education Program with the Young Global Leaders Network of the World Economic Forum, focusing on Global Leadership and Public Policy for the 21st Century.
