Yasmeen Olafsson

Yasmeen Olafsson has extensive work experience in various roles related to people management and talent acquisition. In 2023, they joined Localyze as the Director of People, leading the company's efforts in reimagining how people move for work through technology and exceptional service. Prior to Localyze, they served as the Head of People at Localyze, where they focused on building a centralized platform for a decentralized world.

Before joining Localyze, Yasmeen worked as the VP of People at Argent, a self-custody wallet platform that provides simple and secure access to cryptocurrencies. At Argent, they played a crucial role in fixing existing problems with self-custody wallets and was involved in closing a significant funding round.

From 2018 to 2022, Yasmeen served as the Director of People and Talent at Paxos, a regulated blockchain infrastructure company. Their role at Paxos involved building transparent and transformative financial solutions and empowering financial leaders to create a more open and trusted economy.

Earlier in their career, Yasmeen worked as a Consultant at VARO Partners, focusing on strategic consulting projects. Yasmeen also served as a Medical Microbiologist in Diagnostics at St George's Hospital in 2014.

Yasmeen Olafsson has a diverse educational background. Yasmeen holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Microbiology from the University of Nottingham, with a specific focus on Medical Microbiology. Yasmeen furthered their education at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where they pursued a degree in Leadership and Change, concentrating on Organizational Leadership. As part of their ongoing professional development, Yasmeen also obtained a diploma in Strategic People Management from CIPD Qualifications. Additionally, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at Imperial College London, specializing in Virology.
