Matthew T. Wescott is a Senior Systems Architect at Lockheed Martin since January 2018, with a progressive career that includes roles such as Senior System Engineer, Systems Engineer, and Systems Engineer Associate. Prior experience includes serving as an Undergraduate Researcher at the Multifunctional Material & Aerospace Structures Optimization (MAESTRO) Research Lab, where collaborative projects with NASA JSC advanced technologies for morphing spacecraft radiators. Matthew led the Propulsion and Systems Engineering team at Texas A&M University for a senior capstone project focused on next-generation strike bomber aircraft. As Executive Director of the Texas A&M SAE Aero Design Team, Matthew managed a multidisciplinary team in international competitions, garnering multiple awards. Additionally, leadership experience includes co-captaining the Aerodynamics/CFD Team for the SpaceX Hyperloop Design Competition. Matthew holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Austin College.
