Ranadheer Velamuri

Ranadheer Velamuri has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Ranadheer began their career as a Consultant at Deloitte in 2000, where they played a crucial role in developing core ETLs for Claims management systems and creating executive reports for funnel analysis in the insurance industry.

Following their time at Deloitte, Velamuri joined Yahoo! Inc. in 2003, where they held various roles including Tech Lead, Engineering Manager, and Senior Engineering Manager. Ranadheer led development teams in the area of search advertiser applications, focusing on data engineering, datamarting, and data reporting. Ranadheer also managed large operations teams responsible for database systems and tool creation. Additionally, they played a significant role in migrating systems to Microsoft-run adcenter.

In 2011, Velamuri joined Microsoft IDC Bangalore as a Principal Development Manager before moving on to eBay Inc. in Bangalore as the Head of Engineering - Trust & Safety. At eBay, they oversaw multiple vertical teams and was responsible for areas such as seller onboarding, fraud prevention, and user trust. Ranadheer also handled the data breach in 2014, receiving recognition for their plan and execution in reinstating users.

In 2015, Velamuri worked at ENIXTA Innovations as the Vice President of Product, Strategy, and People. Ranadheer then transitioned to a Chief Dreaming Officer role at a stealth mode startup company, focusing on ideas related to volunteering, healthcare, and crowdfunding.

Velamuri continued to expand their expertise in leadership roles at Rakuten, where they served as the General Manager of Ad Products and Platform and later as a Senior Director of Engineering. Ranadheer played a key role in revamping advertising products, rebuilding data systems, and delivering a transformational CPD platform for e-commerce sellers.

In 2019, Velamuri joined Tesco as the Director of Engineering - Fulfilment. Ranadheer led the development of a fulfillment platform, introducing new customer propositions and modernizing the current system to meet future needs.

Most recently, Velamuri has taken on the role of Senior Vice President of Engineering at Locus and will soon be joining Carousell Group as the Vice President of Engineering and India Site Leader in 2022.

Throughout their career, Velamuri has demonstrated strong strategic thinking, execution capabilities, and a focus on delivering impactful solutions.

Ranadheer Velamuri began their education by attending Sainik School Korukonda from 1985 to 1992, where they completed their 10+2 degree in the field of maths and science. Following that, from 1992 to 1995, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in maths at Sri Venkateswara University. Lastly, from 1996 to 1999, they completed a Post Graduate in Computer Apps degree at the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli with a specialization in Computer Applications.
