Andrew Schmidt is currently a Consultant at Locust Bioventures, providing strategic guidance for biotech clients in partnership with Penn’s tech transfer office. Previous experience includes a Research Internship at Prime Medicine, Inc. within the Gene Therapy, Neuromuscular Division, and an Undergraduate Researcher role at Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System in the Beatty Lab. More early research work includes an internship at Hunter College's Mahajan Lab, where analysis focused on the efficacy of Riluzole in osteosarcoma cell lines, and an internship at Allogene Therapeutics, involving protein production and assays. Andrew Schmidt is pursuing dual degrees at The Wharton School and the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on Healthcare Management and Cellular and Molecular Biology, respectively.
