Rachael Collins

Rachael Collins is an accomplished software engineer with a strong background in aerospace and computer science. Currently serving as a Senior Backend Engineer at Loft Orbital since October 2024, Rachael previously held positions such as Lead Software Engineer at Continuum Space Systems and Space Operations Software Team Lead at Spire. Rachael's early career included roles as an Earth Observation Data Cube Analyst and Nuclear Space Propulsion Senior Systems Engineer at Analytical Mechanics Associates, as well as a Systems Engineer for the Mars 2020 and Mars Science Laboratory missions at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Rachael's academic credentials include a Master of Science in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology and dual Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Aerospace Engineering Sciences from the University of Colorado Boulder.
