Charlie Swiney

Charlie Swiney is an experienced law enforcement professional currently serving as a Deputy Sheriff at the Logan County Sheriff's Office since January 2020, primarily working as a School Resource Officer at Logan County High School. Previously, Charlie held the position of Chief of Police for the City of Morgantown from March 2013 to January 2020. Charlie also served with the Commonwealth of Kentucky as a Kentucky State Trooper and Patrolman from April 1987 to July 2011. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Police Administration with a minor in Psychology from Eastern Kentucky University, attended between 1983 and 1986, and prior studies in General Studies at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College from 1982 to 1983.
