David Jones

David Jones has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. David worked at Lokulus as a Document and Knowledge Manager and later became the Documentation Team Leader. At the Institute of Scientific and Technical Communicators, they took on the role of NW area Coordinator, organizing meetings for technical writers and information developers. David also worked at Callcredit Information Group as a Technical Author, responsible for creating user, API, and training documentation. David served as a Governor at both Golborne Community High School and Golborne Community Primary School. At Martin Dawes Systems, they held the position of Documentation Manager. David's experience also includes being a Technical Communications Manager at Waters Corporation, where they managed a team and handled recruitment, budget management, and long-term planning. David worked as a Technical Author at Micromass, was self-employed as a Web Designer, and held the role of Higher Scientific Officer at the Scottish Crop Research Institute, where they managed staff, conducted research, and authored papers for journals.

David Jones obtained a PhD in Parasitology from the University of Dundee, where they studied from 1988 to 1991. David then pursued a PGDip in Information Technology at Abertay University from 1998 to 1999. Prior to that, David completed their BSc in Agricultural Zoology from the University of Leeds, attending from 1984 to 1987. Additionally, they obtained certifications in TechSmith Camtasia, including the TechSmith Camtasia 2022 Voyager in January 2023 and the TechSmith Camtasia 2022 Explorer in August 2022.
